Rento is a mobile application for managing rental properties, tenants, payments, and expenses. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: Your email address, used for authentication via one-time code (OTP). No passwords are stored.

Profile data: A display name and your preferred home currency.

Property data: Property names, addresses, currency, and notes you enter.

Tenant data: Tenant names, contact info, lease dates, and rent amounts.

Payment data: Rent payment amounts, dates, methods, and status (paid, partial, late).

Expense data: Expense amounts, categories, and receipt photos you attach.

2. How Data Is Stored

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced via servers provided by Supabase (cloud infrastructure based on PostgreSQL). Receipt photos are stored in Supabase Storage.

All communication between the app and servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Your data is used solely to provide the functionality of the app:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than operating the app. Tenant data is visible only to the landlord. The app does not send any communication to tenants.

Your data is retained on your device as long as the app is installed. Server data is retained as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account and all associated server data directly in the app, in the account settings.

The app is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Authentication is handled via one-time email codes. All communication between the app and servers uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Receipt photos are stored securely in cloud storage with access restricted to the account owner.

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data directly in the app. You can also contact us — we will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
